About DNS Test

DNS Test is a focused diagnostic utility for verifying domain name resolution and proxy configuration. It helps developers, site reliability engineers, and infrastructure operators confirm that their domains resolve correctly, that upstream origins are reachable, and that any proxy layer in front of the origin is rewriting, caching, and shielding traffic as intended. Whether you are migrating a domain between providers, standing up a new Cloudflare worker, or debugging an intermittent resolution failure, DNS Test gives you a clear, high-contrast surface to validate the setup end to end.

The tool is built for anyone responsible for keeping a web property fast and reachable. That includes solo founders launching their first app on a managed platform, agency developers wiring up custom domains for clients, and platform engineers who need a quick way to confirm that DNS records, CNAME chains, and proxy rules are behaving the way the runbook says they should. Because the interface is intentionally minimal, it doubles as a teaching surface: each result is easy to screenshot and share with a teammate or a vendor support channel.

DNS Test is built and maintained by a small team that works on the Base44 platform. We use the utility ourselves to validate the custom domains and edge proxies in front of our own apps, and we publish notes on DNS, proxy configuration, and edge networking on the blog.
